Yesterday was Jonti's birthday. Jon and I met Jonti, Katie and some of their friends at a brewery in Freeman's bay and had some lunch. It was a really nice place. :)
Last night was the FPH Masquerade Ball. The purpose of the ball was to honor the people who have been with the company 10+ years. There were a lot of people who had reached the 20 year mark!! Wow! At the dinner, Jon and I brought Jonti a present... It was a Happy Birthday cup. It was awesome and fit in with all of the crazy costumes. I think it was the perfect accessory.
The crazy stilt people were kind of rude...
Jon and me wearing our masks (in case you couldn't figure that out)
Paul wore his Mr. Incredible mask!
Jonti, the birthday cup and Katie
Elveira, me, Nikkie (the Customer Care girls!)
Jon's co-worker, Lenny, won best dressed

Newton, 11 weeks old
Newton is 11 weeks old now. He's doing really well and he's getting pretty big!
He knows how to sit and lie down and shake hands. He is learning how to roll. He is still working on potty training, but he's doing pretty well.
When I am doing things in the kitchen, he likes to stand between my feet, put his face flat on the floor and nap.
He has puppy raw hide bones and he carries them around a lot. He looks like Popeye.
He also does a funny military-style walk.

Day 78
This past Wednesday was Paul's birthday. Jonti, Jon and I decided to pretend we had no idea and ignore him all day and then take him out to dinner.
We gathered gifts and put them together in a salad bowl. Jon and I got a salami, hiking socks and gourmet peanut butter. Jonti went to an American store and picked up a Twinkie, Kool-Aid, graham crackers and Kraft Mac and Cheese. Jonti's girlfriend Katie works at Burger Fuel and she is on an upcoming ad, so she got one of the posters and signed it. Jonti also ordered a Boston mud cake. I made Paul a Mr. Incredible birthday card and my old group at the office in Irvine made a funny card that I printed out at work.
Paul had a terrible day at work on Wednesday and we all felt like horrible people for not wishing him a happy birthday. Jon sent Paul and e-mail saying that the car needed to go back to the shop and asked if Paul could give us a ride to Ponsonby to run a few errands. So when we came home from work, we parked up a different street and Paul came to pick us up. We went and returned a movie at the video store and then I managed to forget where the restaurant was. Paul was insisting on going to the pet store while Jon was trying to convince him it was time to eat. I finally gave up and abandoned Paul and Jon and went and found Jonti and Katie who were waiting in the restaurant. Jonti came out, helped Paul find a more permanent parking spot, and we brought Paul into the restaurant. He was really, really surprised and we were happy because we weren't sure if he caught on after all of the weird requests to run errands.
We went to Fuji restaurant, which is a small Teppanyaki bar. We had a lot of fun there. The chef called every sauce "Yum yum ________" (white sauce, black sauce, soy sauce, etc.). He threw egg at us and the first piece hit Katie on the top of the head. The first piece he threw at me bounced off of my nose. Paul said that I ate the second piece like a polar bear catching a baby seal. >___< Paul opened his present and he was so excited! The American treats went over really well! We sang happy birthday, the lady at the restaurant hit a giant gong, and we ate cake. Fun night!!
